Arter Contemporary Arts Museum Shop Collection →

One of the leading art institutes in the country, Arter was opened in 2010 in Istanbul, Turkey. Previously located in Istiklal Street, Arter moved to its new building designed by London-based Grimshaw Architects in 2019. The venue brings together artists and audiences through a celebration of today’s art in all its forms and disciplines.

Deriving from the concepts of transparency and fluidity, Arter’s new building is conceived as a versatile space, presenting multi-layered possibilities to discover, enjoy and engage in a closer dialogue with art. Arter was designed as an artistic and social meeting point eager to establish ties with its environment.

Upon Arter’s opening in 2019, Reflect Studio was asked to create a collection celebrating the architecture of the new venue. The creative team focused on the significant façade of the building, which is covered with rectangular planes of glass-fibre reinforced concrete, enforcing the concepts of fluidity and modernity. The façade was boiled down into a simple graphical index to be applied on the tote bags. The collection is available for sale at Arter Museum Shop.
